"I received an offer for heating and air inspection. I just asked for the air conditioner to be checked and found that I could no longer get the refrigerant if something goes wrong. The air conditioner worked, but, was NOT cooling fast enough NOT like it should. I told him, great I’ll have to plan for that… Then the gentlemen insisted on completing his inspection of my heater. Found the motor leaking oil(potential fire hazard, duct work misdirected and falling apart, and cracks in heater which can cause carbon monoxide poisoning )! Our two-year-old heater stopped working during a 45 degree night and we woke up freezing. 🥶 Donovan replied to us right away, scheduled the visit, and fixed up the original installer’s mistakes! We just knew when we would turn on the heater it wouldn't produce heat downstairs and the unit would shut down. We just noticed we had this issue this week. "Here is my experience with Donovan and his company, Cozy Pros Heating and Air Conditioning. I received a text offering a “tune up” maintenance deal. Normally, I just hit delete and move on with my life, but in this instance I decided to call the phone # provided in the ad and spoke with Donovan about my problem. About 2 weeks ago, I called a different company to come out and investigate a problem we were having with our heater (the heater is approximately over 20 years old…it could be much older since it was installed before we moved into our house). Anyhow, he tried to do some troubleshooting and was unsuccessful for he said maybe the heater was too old and outdated to fix. I told him that we don’t have the means to buy a new heating system so we need him to fix it! He said, let me see if it is the circuit board and proceeded to tinker with it for the the next hour or so and then said, we may need to order a new circuit board, but before we do that let me see if I have the board in my truck. Anyhow, he brings back 2 of them and then says that neither of them work, so we have to order a new one. He said he would call me back when he is able to locate the circuit board but in between he needs to charge me $75 for the service visit. Basically, I was pissed that I had to pay him $75 for an unresolved problem. My wife decided to find someone else on Yelp that had a good 5 star rating but I just didn’t feel the connection. After I spoke with Donovan on the phone I knew he was worth a shot to see if he could resolve the problem. He took down my info, sent me an email to confirm his appointment time and was exactly on time for the appointment. He dressed like a professional (clean uniform), well spoken and very customer oriented! He asked me some assessment questions to determine what he was trying to address and then proceeded to do a diagnostic. He never tired to sell me on getting a new heating unit. He came across very honest and sincere in trying to help us resolve the issue without trying to rip us off with parts and labor that we didn’t need or asked for. Through his assessment, he went through explaining that to me how the system should work and what might be causing the unit not to work, he was able to discover the problem. We feel very fortunate to have received Donovan’s text today, the day after Christmas, where all of our money has already been spent! Basically, I gave Donovan 5 stars for the following 5 reasons. (1) arrived on time and was excellent with his texts and emails (2) totally professional appearance (clean cut and wore booties to not damage our new flooring (3) a true problem solver - has a diagnostic routine and procedure (4) gave us information and knowledge in case we wanted to upgrade to a new heating system and (5) was not money hungry but provided a fair and equitable fee so he could run a sustainable business and we could feel like we got our money’s worth.
